Conditions of Hire

  • Security deposit is an authorisation of $350.00 on a credit card*.
  • Current drivers license is required. If interstate or international license, proof of local address is needed.
  • Hire fee must be paid at the start of the contract.
  • All vehicles are hired out with a full tank of diesel, and must be re-filled on return.
  • Law strictly prohibits smoking in all hire vehicles.

*The cardholders’ bank holds the deposit. Return of the deposit is dependent on the cardholders’ bank and can take 2-3 business days. Chirnside Park Auto does not control this.

Insurance (excess of $2500 applies)

  • Hirer can reduce excess from $2500 to $550 by paying an additional $25 per day. Additional excess of $500 applies to 21-25 year olds.
  • Overhead damage caused by trees and all other objects is not covered.
  • No probationary (P-plater) drivers.
  • Road tolls are the hirer’s responsibility. An administration fee of $10 will be charged to process any unpaid toll invoices.
  • Trolleys are available to hire for $10.00 each per day.
  • Blankets are available to hire for $2.50 each per day with $50 deposit.
